Angie Urrutia

Angie Urrutia is a graduate of the Academy for Advanced Academics and a member of its first full graduating class. A first-generation college student, she currently serves as the Program Manager for the Clark Scholars Program at Johns Hopkins University, where she oversees a scholarship program within the Whiting School of Engineering. In her role, Angie focuses on supporting student development, coordinating mentorship and community-building efforts, and managing program operations.

Since graduating from AAA, Angie has helped countless students navigate the transition from high school to college and beyond. Before transitioning into higher education, Angie spent nearly a decade in the legal field as a paralegal. She is a founding member of the SAS & AAA Alumni Association and currently serves as its inaugural president, helping strengthen alumni engagement and support for current students.

Angie holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy, a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a certificate in Conflict Resolution & Consensus Building from Florida International University, and is currently pursuing her master’s in Business Administration at the University of Baltimore. However, Angie’s proudest achievement is her family, and she deeply cherishes her role as a wife and mother.
