Our Pillars
-

Mentorship
The Advisement & Assistance Committee oversees the mentorship program, pairing alumni with recent graduates to provide guidance in academics, careers, and professional development. The committee develops applications, maintains up-to-date mentor and mentee databases, and coordinates opportunities for mentoring relationships. Members support the operations of the program, help secure mentors, and promote participation through social media. This committee ensures students and alumni benefit from strong professional guidance, fostering meaningful connections that support growth, learning, and career readiness.
-

Fellowship
The Outreach & Operations Committee maintains communication with members, manages social media, and organizes alumni events and engagement opportunities. Members assist with content creation, social media management, and promoting alumni spotlights. The committee also helps identify fundraising opportunities beyond membership drives and encourages participation in events and donor initiatives. By coordinating activities, maintaining databases, and fostering alumni connections, this committee ensures the Association’s programs run smoothly while promoting community and engagement among SAS & AAA alumni.
-

Scholarship
The Recognition & Reward Committee manages the Association’s scholarship program, from developing applications and reviewing candidates to awarding scholarships each year. Committee members organize interviews, evaluate applications, and help identify viable candidates in collaboration with the Executive Board. They also support fundraising initiatives, including soliciting corporate donors and spearheading events like Give Miami Day. This committee ensures that scholarships are thoughtfully awarded, celebrates student achievement, and strengthens alumni support for current SAS & AAA students.

Leadership
The Resources & Résumé Building Committee provides workshops, tools, and development opportunities that promote both personal growth and professional development. The committee supports interns and internship partners, maintains updated resource databases, and supports scholars and alumni in building strong résumés, professional skills, and leadership development. Members cultivate corporate partnerships, mentor emerging leaders, and assist interns in gaining meaningful, hands-on experience. By facilitating intentional connections between students, alumni, and industry partners, this committee delivers critical resources that support the transition from developing scholars to confident leaders in their fields.
