Sofia arango

Sofia Arango is a recent graduate of the School for Advanced Studies West, where she served as President of the National Honor Society and was recognized with the Spirit of Excellence Award. She is currently pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Finance at Florida State University, where she is a member of the Presidential Scholar Program, one of the university’s most competitive academic cohorts.

In her first year after graduating from SAS, Sofia landed a position as a legal intern at the Law Office of Annabelle Dias P.A. in Tallahassee, where she conducts legal research and attends court proceedings.

At Florida State University, Sofia serves as Facilitator of Programming for the Diversity and Inclusion Institute, where she helps plan workshops and events focused on promoting representation and student belonging.

As a first-generation Colombian student, Sofia is dedicated to academic excellence and expanding opportunities for students with similar backgrounds. These values are shaped by her family and the path they’ve created for her, which guide her as she pursues her studies and experiences.
